Summer Time
This summer has been really good. Busy and moving along. A lot of really good things have happened to further the growth of myself as an artist and AJB as a business. It is a very nice thing, to see how this all started from an idea and has become what it is and is heading in the direction that it is heading. In order to do what I do, I need support. I need fans. I cannot get them by mass marketing because I do not have the budget for that yet, so I have to go by putting my work out there and promoting it to the best of my abilities and hope that people respond to it. So far it is working out pretty well. I feel really good about where this is heading, and I cannot thank everyone that has helped this grow. It really is an amazing thing to know that people are responding to what you do for what it is and not what the media is telling you to like.
The psychology and sociology of things is a fascinating study. I really enjoy learning about how people think and respond and act.
Music and Dance have a very profound affect on people. I believe they are two of the most sensitive things in the world for people. These things bring up feelings in people and cause them to react in many different ways. All it takes is an older sibling or parent to say "dancing is gay," or "singing is girly," for a boy to ignore what he feels and not sing or dance. But he will then watch American Idol and So you think you can dance and be the biggest critic of the contestants as well as secretly wishing that he could be up there on stage. It is something that I hope can change a bit. I hope that the idea of singing and dancing can be accepted a bit more than it already is. If you like to dance....dance. If you like to sing....sing. Who cares what people say. If I listened to what people close to me had to say when I started doing this, I would not have a career like I do.
What else?
We did the London Edge trade show at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC. It was a great time to put the clothing line out there and see how people in the industry respond. It got a great response and a lot of good things have come from it.

Another great thing that happened this month was that we were able to perform for a number of senior citizens. My Dance Company did a week long workshop for middle school kids. We workshopped them and then had them create a performance to my song "Move with Me." They performed that while I sang live. Then we showed the seniors what we do live. I never thought that performing for a 100+ seniors over the age of 75 would be a good demographic for what I do, but I have to say they were going nuts over it. Hooting and Hollering and just having a great time. They even came up to us afterwards and continued to praise it. So I guess that is my new target audience lol.
Personally I think it makes them feel good and maybe brought them back a bit to being young.
I really enjoyed it. If you watch the video I am posting, listen to the crowd. The lady yelling is 95 years old!!!
She Rocks

I Love You Live
That is all for now.
Hope you are all enjoying your summer, and thank you for supporting what I do

I am excited!
I will be doing the London Exchange Trade Show at the Javitts Center in NYC. It is going to be a great time. I have been making shirts like crazy to get my presentation ready. When you make each shirt by hand, it is a fun thing to see how many you can make at one time.
This all will go down on July 21 and 22.
This week is working with some kids and getting ready to perform for them. Working with a group of kids and getting them ready to perform with us. After they do that, we will show exactly what it is that we do live.
So it is a hectic few weeks.....I like that.
I hope it is going well for all of you!!
